Who am I?
Why did I create this website?
I’m writing about me so that the world overwhelmed with information gets to know who I am. It will serve to help my family and friends get to know me better. I’ve traveled a lot and lived abroad for a long time, so they may miss a few “jigsaw puzzles” about me. It can tell the people I encounter on my journey, what kind of person I am. Maybe this website will even be accessed by my children or grandchildren! I want to gain, develop, provide and restore the trust of the people I care about this way. I will try to write not only about my strengths but also about the weak points. I know someone will think I’m naive, probably because I love fairy tales. This site is not intended for people who consider these things to be superfluous. Please give me constructive feedback. I am convinced that the content of this site will not glide over the surface. It’s in different languages, based on the slogan: As many languages you know, as many times you are a human being. Or: “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.” – Nelson Mandela

Maybe my path develops according to Maslow’s value pyramid. First I had to finish my education, then learn a job, earn money, save money, and gain personal and professional experience abroad. Maybe the moment is coming to do something special, so that people who come after us, will remember it in a positive way.
I have attended two schools at the same time (Conservatory and Highschool, later Faculty of Management UK), because I did not know exactly what to do.
I followed the secured path as was expected from me, exactly unlike the Robinson Crusoe. He went on a bold and risky journey and eventually, after more than 27 years of almost total solitude, got home and benefited from his former investments. If I am to be likened to a literary hero, I feel like the Count of Montecristo, who was locked up in prison and was taught from the abode. Let’s see if I discover the strength to jump into the unknown and if I find the right way to go.
I am a Slovak but have lived for years in Germany, Italy, and the USA.
I used to work for an international oil & gas concern for 10 years and till 2017 I have never done any volunteering job. I think I am a good guy though. 😉 I love Couchsurfing, nature, and environmental protection.
I am sportive, I like biking, skiing, swimming, volleyball, tennis, hiking mountains, dance a bit salsa and enjoy classical music (play flute).
After a credo: Never tell anyone that you’re writing a book, going on a diet, exercising, taking a course, or quitting smoking. They’ll encourage you to death. (Lynn Johnston): I am thinking about how it would be great to open a company, which would provide team building, leadership, coaching and motivational courses plus assessment center and conferences. Why? To make the world a better place.
I like adventurous traveling; I have been to Thailand, Brasil, Hawaii, India, South Africa, Dubai, etc. mostly via Couchsurfing. I have traveled to the national parks in the South West of the US in a van of my friend Matt. My dream is still to travel to Russia and learn their language.
